Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, model, inventor and businesswoman from Australia. After starting her career in her native country she moved to Hollywood and was able to achieve significant success there. An alumnus of the city of Perth George began her journey in dancing and artistic roller skating. Her modelling career began in her early twenties, when she won the Western Australia Teenage Model Award in 1992. Her first appearance on TV was in a Seven Network episode of the soap opera Home and Away. The big screen debut came on screen in Dark City, a mystery thriller. She then played various supporting roles on projects including Alias The Limey or Down with Love. In 2005 she made her first major Hollywood appearance in The Amityville Horror remake.
